Unit of Competency: SITHFAB021 Provides responsible service of alcohol
Responsible practices must be undertaken wherever alcohol is sold or served, including where alcohol samples are served during on-site product tastings. This unit applies to any workplace where alcohol is sold or served, including all types of hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets, and wineries, breweries, and distilleries. The unit applies to all levels of personnel -
Entry Requirements: There are no entry requirements.
Delivery Structure and Supervision
Maximum of 12 learners per group. (Classroom training in ACT only)
Classroom learning: face-to-face training = 4 hours
Assessment: Approximately 2 hours = Total of 2 hours, i.e. combined theory and practical components, plus 1 hour of demonstration tests = 3 hours
Pre-reading /unstructured self-directed learning: 20 hours per week x 2 weeks: 40 hours (provided 2 weeks prior to course commencement).
Total Volume of Learning for this unit as per above = 47 hours

Fee for Service: $18 inclusive of all learning materials, assessment tasks, communication with trainer/assessor, and issuing of Statement of Attainment upon successful completion
